There are so many things to like today! Most of the crafty ones are links (it was a busy weekend), but they’re really good links, I promise.  Today I like…

That is my ridiculously cute mom when she was about 3. She is taller, slimmer and less worried-looking these days, but retains the sweetness, curiosity and sense of wonder I see in the wee version. My mom is at the root of anything good that I do, be it an act of creativity or of kindess. She also comments on this blog as “mumster.” Yay for great moms, every single day of the year.
*Anticipating these yummy yarns, coming to me courtesy of a swap with the fiber diva behind Madeline Tosh. I can’t wait to get started on my very own pair of hand-knit socks using her Afterthought Sock Pattern!
*Finding out that The Fray picked this blog in a “sites you love” contest among her readers. My cheeks will be pink all day. Do check out The Fray, as well as my lovely recommender MJ of Megrje
*The Superbuzzy update today! Get over there pronto for some super Japanese imports, including a re-stock of the fabulous London Map fabric that I love so much, in two colors!
*Bradbury & Bradbury Art Wallpapers, via Theodesign. The arts and crafts! The deco airplanes! I spent far too long browsing around, and ordered a few samples, even though wallpaper is a pipe dream for a rented apartment.

And want to see something nerdy I like too much lately that is the *real* reason I’m not showing you anything I made?

That would be my Nintendo DS Lite, and on the screen? Pokemon Diamond. I won’t tell you how many hours I’ve logged, but I will tell you that my 9-year-old niece and I will have LOTS to talk about next time I see her. I have saved my game and put the DS safely out of sight, so hopefully I’ll have make more productive use of my time for the rest of the week…
