congratulations on the new place! for boxes, have you tried Office Depot? They sell ten-packs with lids that are a very handy size, good for books or fragile stuff. Also, Trader Joe’s wine boxes are great and the stores usually have tons to get rid of.

good luck!

join freecycle — someone always seems to be offering moving/packing boxes.

Congratulations, the book looks wonderful! I plan to harangue the local booksellers now to stock some copies :-)

And best of luck with the moving.

Mmmm…. the eggplant gratin was gorgeous! Perfectly light, yet filling. Thanks again Nance! Don’t hesitate to holler if you need some extra packing hands. Oh, and congrats on the book! Love seeing it beside the Klutz knitting book – woohoo!

if you do end up needing boxes, try boomerangboxes.com (they repurpose misprinted boxes). i was able to get all mine at the liquor store. i got some extra supplies at the container store, namely a roll of saran-wrap like stuff for the furniture. i loved using it, too much probably!

If you’re looking for specialized boxes, get thee to Costco for the Mover’s Pack. It comes with 3 sizes of boxes, glass inserts for the small box, foam envelopes for dishes, paper, tape and a big marker. It’s about $50. It saved my life the last time I moved.

And the book looks great with all of its happy company.
