I’m in! I’m gonna cheat because I already posted these recipes, but they remain favorites of my family and get cooked at least once a month. I’m working on getting something new up, but, well, you know the whole “time” story…

Here’s the link:

I hope that comes up as a hyperlink…

great idea nancy!

here’s a good one:
http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,,FOOD_9936_25692,00.html?rsrc=search

it is a farro salad; the farro is a grain with a nutty yummy texture that complements the tomatoes and onions.

i’ve made this for several large groups of people and it is super easy, can be prepared in advance and people just rave about it!

i posted about it a while back here so it is an ‘ongoing’ favorite recipe in lieu of a current one! http://vonderheyde.blogspot.com/2006/12/farro-is-fantastic.html

OK, now I absolutely MUST have an enlarged copy of the hawk AND the sea creatures. That photo is so beautiful it is surreal…sparkling, glistening, coated with silver!! please remember this request.

Hi there! I’ve just recently come across your site, am enjoying it, and am wondering if maybe you (and anyone else who reads this and feels they have a tidbit to offer) could help me out…

I just moved to the Bay Area from NY state, and a girlfriend is coming to visit. I want to spend a few days in San Francisco, but haven’t the least idea of where to start. We would love any hip little spots that don’t make it into the tour books! We love food, fabric, fun boutiques, bookstores, and, well, yeah.

So, if you get the chance, could you drop me the names of some favorite spots? Thanks!

This is a great idea. I am always looking for new recipes. Here is a new recipe that I have been making for at least once a week for the past month.
