Without further ado, today I like
*Looking forward to attending the launch party for the lovely book Craft, Inc.. If you’re in the Bay Area, come celebrate this wonderful book, its neat author Meg Matteo Ilasco and the crafty entrepreneurs who contributed to it:
Craft Inc. Launch Party
Tuesday, October 2nd
6-9pm
111 Minna Street
San Francisco
*There will be super awesome prizes from the likes of Chronicle Books, Lotta Jansdotter, Jill Bliss, port2port press and more!
*Eating Italian style

A grilled panino caprese and my darling new red enameled stovetop espresso maker
*My new chicken kitchen timer (say that ten times fast)

*My new favorite place to sit and watch the world go by

that is both a corner of my home (the best one, the window seat) and a crafty home project “before” picture, as I’m determined to recover those cushions, which came with the apartment and consequently have seen better days. I just have to figure out how many yards of fabric I need (and whether I already have a length of something that will do). Either way, the little pillows will end up with log cabin covers because I’ve been itching for an excuse to make some.
*My felted bar of lavender clay soap- I used the instructions in Last Minute Fabric Gifts (which I got out of the library to tide me over while I waited for LM Patchwork & Quilted gifts). So easy! So soft! Smells so yummy! A squidgy wash cloth and soap all in one. Lovely.

The roving I used came from the wonderful Mary Jane’s Attic. If I didn’t have serious over-stash problems in my studio (which is why I haven’t shown you any pictures. But I swear it will be more organized and photo worthy in a month or so), I would be buying another one of Jamie’s divine multi-colored samplers.
*There’s more to tell you about and show you, but I’ll save it for another day!
