me! hah, i don’t need more crap either, but if you’d like I could send you something in return. sometimes it’s fun to look at new stuff and see what to do with it.
and i promise, getting organized will inspire you. i’m much less organized in the new space (more room, but less storage, so it’s oddly less efficient) and it shows.
You look great! As does the dress… Funny I’m here reading your post eating a peanut butter cup. Yeah, I need to stop too. Currently I’m dying to try out various projects from the new Amy Butler book for babies. Lots of gorgeous projects in there.
Congrats on a finished project! And, it looks great. I’ve gotten back into sewing after a 2 year misadventure of selling a house (took a year) and buying another that needed way more work than I planned on. I’ve finally unpacked sewing and am loving it again. About knitting, I’m with you. I tried and tried, but my brain wasn’t designed to knit, so I raised the flag and moved on.
pick me pick me!!! i just finished a little handbag for my sister. very pleased with the outcome. and now i’m thinking of a x-mas outfit for myself. we’ll see what lovely fabric i will find and which pattern i’ll choose. definately love your dress. but i don’t have a serger and therefore i have been sticking to non elastic cotton or linen. have a nice day.
I am enjoying your blog and looking at the many creative items you have made.
The Baby Sweater made me laugh because my dearest, best friend gave me a baby sweater when my daughter was born. It was not quite done, but she wrapped it up anyway.
Now my daughter is 3 1/2 and hasn’t received the finished sweater yet.
I love to knit, but tend to knit mindless projects that don;t take a lot of counting. Currently I am into sewing, especially purses.
AND I am all for giveaways!
I’m a faithful reader!!! Pick me! Seriously, I have craft a.d.d too but I press on….I want to make some a line skirts for the fall. So, I’m really focusing on that right now!
Lovely dress. I’ve been looking for a pattern to make a fall dress and this may be the one.
In terms of what crafts I’m excited about right now, as usual it’s more than I can ever do. I got a serger for my bday in June and *still* haven’t had a chance to really play with it. But I’m interested in trying to sew with knits (got the Sew U book about knits). I also have some Easy Lap Quilts from Bend-the-Rules Sewing that I still need to finish up. I’m most excited about the projects from the Alabama Stitch Book. They are all lovely, and I don’t know where to begin.
I also have plenty on the knitting docket right now, as well as learning to spin with a spindle and do some beading and embroidery. Yeow. A bit much. Biggest priority, actually, is getting my study/craft room organized!!!
First of all, I think the dress looks great and the waist doesn’t look bulky at all! I love those wrap dresses … wish my sewing skills were up to that sort of project.
Lately, I have gotten all excited about knitting socks again. I went through a long period of not-into-socks, and now my sock mojo is back. This is possibly because I have decided that it is completely OK to accumulate a large stack of single socks. If you have not seen philistine Megan’s stack of socks, it is lovely!
I’m very excited about learning to sew with the machine my husband’s getting me for my birthday next week…I’m going to start with tote bags, I think. I also have a couple of afghans I need to finish crocheting - my 6-month-old always wants to be held, which makes it a bit difficult.
Well I really should be de-stashing myself instead of offering to help with yours, but here I am anyway! I got a serger this summer, so I’m all about sewing clothes right now, although I have a couple quilted projects in the works too.
I just redid my living room and turned it into a craft space so any and all craft supplies will be loved and used. Also, I teach sixth grade and would use all sorts of craft supplies in my class. Thanks!
I am currently starting to get all my Christmas gift ideas together. I think I am making purses/bags for the ladies and maybe PJ pants and candies for the boys, but we’ll see. Often I get a plan in Sept. and only half ends up getting made.
I just finished a quilt and am finishing up knitting a baby blanket (for the PIF exchange) and am going to begin my next quilt for a birthday in November. I hopefully will be able to applique or hand embroider some on the next quilt b/c I am cheating and using pre-cut Moda squares! I also just got the Baby book from Amy Butler and can’t wait to crack the patterns open and start sewing!
I think your dress looks lovely–what a great thing to pick up a project that has been hiding for so long and finish it up!
I, myself, just finished organizing my craft room and that alone really inspired me and gave me some motivation I’ve been lacking for months now. My interests are many…knitting, sewing (I’m new to it, but I love it), drawing, gourd art, paper art…I could go on but you get the gist!
Not a lot of time to comment on all the blogs I read, but I have enjoyed yours for some time now…your crafting and food adventures!
Oh, I never win anything, but I might as well try. I’m not to much in need of crafty inspiration, I have way to much inspiration right now, and not nearly enough time to do it all! Currently I’m jonesing to make some cool autumn decorations, can’t wait to get started on my autumn bunting.
As for crafting I’m doing a little bit of everything - we just moved and I was able to comandeer my own big CRAFT CLOSET! Which is VERY exciting, but I must unpack all of my odds & ends, which is not so exciting to me. I’ve started trying to sew some skirts & also want to make MORE of my Christmas presents this year so I’d better get a jump on that.
Today the craft was a rocket ship birthday cake for my 6 year old (tomorrow) birthday party.
And as for the just moved business - I’m getting very little mail & would love your crafty blessings to fill up my empty mailbox.

oh yeah, and the dress is really cute! did you use a serger or just the zigzag? I need to stride confidently toward sewing knits even w/o a serger….
I love your dress! Beautiful!
Right now I am really into my quilting. I go between stamping, scrapbooking and quilting. Next I need to try to sew clothes for my daughters.
You look great! As does the dress… Funny I’m here reading your post eating a peanut butter cup. Yeah, I need to stop too. Currently I’m dying to try out various projects from the new Amy Butler book for babies. Lots of gorgeous projects in there.
What a pretty dress!
(I’m in Canada, so I don’t think I can add my name to your draw.)

Well, we are having a baby boy due Jan. 1st! So mostly finind boy things to make but of course a few for the big sister to be as well
Lovely dress. I’ve been looking for a pattern to make a fall dress and this may be the one.

Right now I’m most excited about any baby craft project. Our next one is due in January, so every cute baby project I see gets added to the queue.

That dress is utterly fabulous, beautiful work you!

Thanks for the give away

What a great dress! My hobby is scrapbooking, I’ll sorting through my stuff soon as its out of control!
