Thanks for these tips. I have a suti skirt that I put on just this morning, marvelled at how it made my legs look like tree trunks and took it right back off in favor of slacks. I’ll be doing your bed sheet trick this weekend to see if I can hem that skirt into something more flattering. Thanks for the tips.
Thanks for the tips – I usually need to modify everything. I’m 5′1″ and short waisted – the good thing with sewing is I usually don’t need extra fabric!
I should probably go through my closet now, but I’m worried about what I might find. At least I’ll be looking good even if there is only 1 or 2 dresses left.
Thanks for the refresher course in skirt lengths. Unfortunately I need to do this to nearly my whole closet, but you make it sound fun and exciting again and that was what I was missing. Much needed in my case
Cheers!
Thanks for the simple tutorial on skirt lengths. It’s just what I need as I dig the spring wardrobe from the back of the closet. And now I think I want to sew a new skirt!

These hemline tips are great – I can tell that I will be dragging all my dresses and skirts out to see which ones need re-hemming or recycling!

Thanks for the tips! I can think of a few of my skirts off the top of my head that would benefit from a hemline makeover…
